Trying new things can be scary. Heck, it can be terrifying. It doesn’t matter what aspect of life. Maybe its a new position at work or a new job. Perhaps you’re in a new relationship or moving to a new town. I know it all sounds scary, but don’t start listening to your fears.

Its scary because you are stepping out of your comfort zone

Your comfort zone is a place where you feel safe. A place where there are limited unknowns. You know what’s happening now and what’s going to happen next. Its free from threats and discomfort. Comfort zones are warm, cozy and dangerous.

Nothing ever happens there. You will never grow if you choose to stay inside your comfort zone.

Its time to step out

Do you ever wonder why you weren’t able to stick to that diet plan? You started a new work out routine and never stuck to it. Maybe you had a new business plan but that’s all it ever was, just a plan.

Or maybe you wanted to start a blog, but it never got anywhere for years.

But you never made a move to try new things.

Its your comfort zone. Your comfort zone is holding you back from your greatness. I understand you’re scared. But everything you ever dreamed of rests on the other side of everything you are afraid of. There is no better time than now to take a step out. Even if its just a baby step.

When you step out of your comfort zone, you are stepping into your greatness.

Go to the gym instead of working out at home. Apply for the new job you want. Take action right now to step out of your comfort zone. Start the blog and show it to people.

The worst thing that could happen is failure

Failure is a beautiful thing. I know that sounds weird but failure is the best way we learn. We didn’t just learn to walk one day and started running from there! No, we crawled first. Then we fell time and time again. Then we walked.

The worst thing that could happen by you trying new things is failure. Do it anyways. Thomas Edison made 1,000 light bulbs before he made one that worked.

Failure is the stepping stones to success. You will never be great if you don’t fail in learn.

Don’t worry about what other people will think

It’s your life, not theirs. It doesn’t matter what any one else thinks. When you’re trying new things, people will judge you. People will question what you are doing. People will judge you if you keep doing the same shit, too. It doesn’t matter what you do. You will be judged. So you might as well be judged for doing something great!

Don’t let fear hold you back

If you are still reading this far, it is time to try new things. That’s the reason your here right? Something in the title caught your eye. There’s a good chance you’ve had an idea or two but you haven’t tried it yet. Because its out of your comfort zone. You’re scared.

Now it is time for you to look fear in the eyes and say “You can’t hold me back anymore!”

Don’t be afraid to take an unfamiliar path, they often lead to the best designations.

Fear is a product of you mind. Created to protect you from obvious dangers. But fear it self can be the most dangerous thing. Fear can and will hold you back. You can do this.

Just go for it

and don’t look back. There is a new, beautiful you outside of that comfort zone of yours. And I’m sure you are dying to meet this adventurous person. So get out. Take a step out. Try something new. You need to believe in yourself.
